The NSR500V was a $100,000 privateer race bike available to the public and capable of competing in 500cc Grand Prix racing. Honda stated that the 100-degree V-Twin engine produced more than 135 horsepower, and the entire package weighed just 226 pounds.
Honda built just 22 examples between 1995 and 2001 for racing purposes…and it turns out that they built an additional one to use for media/press duty. After touring Europe, the bike was purchased by an HRC executive and then sold to the current owner who had the bike crated and it has been in storage ever since. An absolutely wild bike that represents the pinnacle of Honda 2-stroke development.
